"It has been a long time since I needed to buy any carpet. We needed to get our lounge / diner carpeted to replace some hard wood flooring. While we were at it we decided “in for a penny, in for a pound” and we should do our stairs, landing and master bedroom too. This worked out well with cutting the carpet roll for optimum usage. As you can imagine, trying to empty your lounge and dining room is like moving house all over again. I was dreading it. We got a quote from a large chain carpet store and from Flooring Factory. We actually preferred the carpet we chose at the Flooring Factory and the price was lower than the carpet from the chain. Also, the underlay was cheaper and just as good. Fitting and so on was a similar price so Flooring Factory were cheaper overall than the chain. The company worked with us to select a convenient fitting date. The arrangement was for the fitters to do all the furniture moving (with us having emptied the furniture), remove the existing floor coverings and fit the new underlay and carpets. The two chaps turned up a little after 9am and were with us until about 4pm. The worked really hard and professionally. They had no issues with moving our furniture with appropriate care and getting stuck in. Having removed the old flooring an issue was found with a space between the concrete floor of the conservatory/lounge and the dining room floorboards. We discussed ideas and the chaps came up with a solution that has worked very well. The new carpet looks great. The guys replaced all the furniture in a similar position to the original layout and tidied up every bit of rubbish etc. leaving the house clean and presentable. Thus, they completed the job with minimal hassle and fuss for us in a timely and professional manner. We like to support independent traders when we can. In this case they provided and excellent service at a cheaper cost than the mass-market chain store. We fully intend to return to Flooring Factory for all our flooring n"
