"I've used fiddes hard wax oil on my old oak doors before. It was a hell of a lot of sanding to remove the nasty stain the previous owners put on them but when I applied the wax oil and the grain came to life it was soooo worth it. Likewise I just finished doing my new stair case. The wood was a very bland pine but after taking advice from the guys in the fiddes shop, it's been transformed into something that looks fantastic.
