He has done such a great job on our floors, after recently moving into a 1930s house and removing the carpets we looked into the possibility of restoring the old pine boards - Sylwester was very responsive and visited & provided a quote very quickly. We decided to go ahead with the job as he managed to schedule us in quite quickly due to a cancellation. His knowledge and enthusiasm for the work on our floors was incredible, from start to finish he worked very meticulously and offered great advice for helping us make the best choice for our house. "Sylwester visited me for a quotation, both of us unsure what we’d uncover beneath my attic carpet. He took a quick look and could see right away we were dealing with 125 year old pine. He was able to give me an on the spot price and impressed by his expertise and confidence, adding to many great reviews I’d seen online, I didn’t hesitate to book him there and then. The bulk of the work took place in a single day: Sylwester stripped carpet, underlay and grippers and identified problem areas: a couple of loose boards and historical evidence of half-assed tradesmen. He was able to tidy up a lot of the problem areas, leaving the floor looking much neater before spending the rest of the day sanding it. By the end of the first day the floor looked incredible, and we all felt it was better to leave it natural, rather than apply a stain. Sylvester applied a light matt lacquer before returning the next day to apply a further coat and plug some gaps using floor filler. The room and indeed the house smells of freshly sawn pine and the sweet aroma of lacquer. We can’t wait to use the room as a space for yoga, workouts and mindfulness. Sylwester’s hard work has given the room such a glow! He was absolutely no trouble, came and went as he needed, very polite and courteous throughout his visit and went the extra mile to make sure we would be more than satisfied with the result. We wouldn’t hesitate to use him again for more room transformations or recommend him to anyone in the North West.
